Hi all! Happy Saturday! I deliberately didn’t make a post yesterday. Hahaha. I was feeling particularly lazy but I was also working hard! I made an unboxing video and was editing photos. So a quick recap of what happened this week! Onwards!
On Monday I went with my friend for an 8km run. We couldn’t do it Tuesday like usual because he had an operation on that day so we did it on Monday instead. Tuesday and Wednesday were spent idling and surfing the web. Then on Thursday I went out with a friend to Kerrisdale Camera. He needed to pick up some film and I wanted to go simply because it was a camera shop. But then while there I couldn’t resist buying a new camera so I blew a hole in my wallet and dropped the money for a new camera. But totally worth it I think. After buying the camera we were like “Let’s go test it out!” So we went to pick up his camera first then we headed to Queen Elizabeth Park. Then comes Friday where I worked on photos all day.
So the camera I bought. What was it? What lens did you buy? I bought the Olympus OM-D E-M5 MKII and bought the Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens. I got tired of travelling with my big ass DSLR. Don’t get me wrong it’s a wonderful camera my D800 but sometimes it’s overkill. I wanted a light camera so I could pick up and just go go go. Quick, easy, painless. And this camera fits the bill. I need to buy another Peak Design PROplate so I can hook it up to my bag when I’m on the go.

This is the unboxing video I made of the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II and the Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens. I had some problems focusing with my D800. Another reason I chose this camera was because of the video function. It’s A LOT better than the D800 by leaps and bounds. I hate the focusing on the D800. It’s like it’s myopic and can’t focus on anything and needs glasses. I always need to manually focus then it goes and ruins it with its auto focus.
Anyway that’s all I got for y’all today. I’m still playing with the camera and learning it’s functions. It’s got so many function buttons! I hope you all have a good weekend!
