Free Association Friday

Hello and happy Friday! It’s been a productive week! I’m still riding on the high from my vacation so I’ve been extra productive and gung ho about everything. I’ve been researching on buying a new camera and I think I’ve found the right camera for me. I’m thinking of getting a mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera. The reason for this is because during my trip, I had a really hard and difficult time taking pictures with my DSLR. It was heavy and unwieldy. and I kept having to stow it away and take it back out at the most inopportune moments. If I had a smaller camera I wouldn’t have issues with weight and having to stow it away. I thought about a point and shoot but I wanted to preserve the quality of RAW files and most point and shoots don’t shoot in RAW. Right now I have my eye on the Olympus OM-D E-M5 II. I’m also looking at some Sony ones but they’re expensive. I tested out the Olympus on Thursday and I like the size and weight. Another thing I need to look for is a lens to go with the camera. The good thing about MFT is that there are a number of really small and compact lenses. Perfect for what I want in achieving a small compact package. However I also need to consider their ranges. I need a versatile lens that can adapt to a variety of situations just like my Nikkor 24-70mm. I’m still browsing the variety of lenses for the right range and price and size.

Oh man. So today I went to eat Korean food with my elementary school friend. I had so much kimchi. Every time I burp now, I taste kimchi in my mouth. It was bottomless kimchi so he kept ordering more kimchi and I don’t like wasting food so I kept on eating it. Ah the joys and problems of eating food. Also he told he was would be gifting me an Amazon Echo! Ooooo, I’m so excited! I love technology and gifts. I can’t wait to get my hands on it and try it out. I saw their official webpage for it and it looks so cool and badass. http://www.amazon.com/oc/echo/ <— That’s the link to their official page. Check out the features and specs!

This week I watched five movies. Mad Max Fury Road, Fury, The Fifth Element (loved this movie as a child), Seven Years in Tibet and Paddington. All wonderful movies. I’ll try to include a list of movies I watch each week.

Anyway I hope you all have a good weekend and I’lll see y’all again next week! Take care and enjoy the sunshine. And as always your thoughts and comments are welcomed below!
